Yes, Duct cooler gives more cooling than desert. In a simple words duct cooler is a impeller type called as Blower fan it has four heat exchanger pads compared to desert cooler has three.
Desert cooler is a propeller type which has axial flow fan with a swirling tangential motion created by rotating propeller blades.
In this type the air may force back if duct diameter is equal or little smaller than fan diameter but it consumes less water compared to duct cooler
Duct cooler is a Impleller type which increases the speed and volume of an air stream with the rotating inpellers.
The main advantage of duct cooler is by changing the angle of the blades, a blower will be able to push air in any direction you want it, you can enlarge the duct length to where ever you want. For example, if the outdoor unit is fixed on roof or corridor the cooler air can paas to the room by duct enlargement.
An air conditioner circulates the internal air of the room over and over again, whereas an air cooler pulls fresh air from outside and then cools it down. Also, air cooler doesn’t make the air overly dry like an air conditioner. Because of the way it operates, an air cooler offers better quality of air for your room.
